Tips To Help You Write Persuasively

1. Keep your sales copy light, easy to read (don't try to impress with long words) and above all...interesting! You want them to want to read it!

2. Keep your sentences at about 15-25 words. Longer is not better!

3. Vary your sentence length in your copy...giving it rhythm and balance.

4. Edit out the fluff...words that don't need to be there. All your words should add to your argument, or at least mean something to the reader.

5. Limit your paragraphs to 3 or 4 sentences...only one thought please.

6. Keep your writing positive. You want your reader to enthusiastic and up-beat. Your writing should be an 'upper' not a 'downer'!

7. Break up your content with bullets, numbers, and sub-headings.

8. Use 'power words' in your copy, such as: new and improved, secret revealed, for a limited time, hot, sure fire, secret weapon, cash in, power, best, top 10, best kept secret, you get the idea.

9. Tell a story...if your story tells how your product or service solved someone's problem or improved their life.

10. Writing sales copy should be conversational, like you're talking to a friend. Read your copy out loud to see that it flows smoothly.

11. Study sales copy you see around you, highlight it , underline it, try to understand why it works. The local supermarket check out line is a great place to see some of the best sales copy.
